President: Justin Minor
Justin is a senior honors dual degree candidate studying Sport Management and Finance from Fairport, NY. In addition to his role on the Executive Board, Justin is the Tournament Operations Director for the McCormack Junior Cup. Previously he served as the club's treasurer and Co-Director of Sponsorship and Donations for the Western Massachusetts Junior Golf Classic. Justin is also a captain of the UMass Club Soccer team. He has interned with the Rochester District Golf Association running elite level amateur golf tournaments and this past summer he interned with the Washington Redskins.
Vice President: Andrew LaPlante
Andrew LaPlante is a hardworking Sport Management senior here at UMass. He is from Long Island, New York, and is a Mets, Jets, and Knicks fan. He has worked as a Media Relations Intern for the New York Mets as well as a Sales Intern for the New York Yankees. In addition to being on the Executive Board, he is a Media Relations Intern for UMass Athletics and teaches swim lessons. He is also on the donations committee for the Western Massachusetts Junior Classic. He used to play basketball in high school and still plays at the Rec Center when he has the time. He is very excited to be on the Executive Board and cannot wait for the year ahead.
Treasurer: William Nebel
William is a Junior Sport Management and Accounting double major from Monmouth Junction, New Jersey. He has recently accepted a summer Accounting Internship at Ernst & Young where he hopes to work on sport clients. On campus, he has worked as a member of the sales team for the PVTO, is an active member of the Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity, an Isenberg Peer Mentor and is also a student manager for the men's basketball team. He has previously interned for Johnson & Johnson as a Finance Intern, Quick Copper Communications as a Business Development Intern, Braathe Enterprises as an Accounting and Finance Intern, and for Positive Impact Sports + Entertainment as a sports analytics intern.
Secretary: Daniel deBenedictis
Dan is a sophomore who wishes to double major in Sport Management and Finance. He is from Milton, MA and played basketball and baseball in high school and was captain of the baseball team. He loves the Boston Celtics and plans on working for their organization one day. This past summer, Dan was an intern for Young Entrepreneurs Across America.
Marketing Chair: Samantha Bernstein
Samantha is a junior Sport Management and Marketing dual degree candidate from Fremont, California. She has worked in the recruiting department of the UMass Football team and now works as a Property Assistant for Learfield. Previously, she has been the Director of Philanthropy for the PVTO as well as the Community Service Chair for the club. Samantha is also a big Golden State Warriors fan and hopes to someday work in the NBA or WNBA.
Community Service Chair: Daniel Smith
Dan is a Sophomore double majoring in Marketing and Sport Management. He is from Milford, Massachusetts and is a die-hard Red Sox fan. This past summer he worked for the New England Collegiate Baseball League as a Media Relations Intern. As a freshman, he managed to acquire leadership positions both in the club and for the PVTO. In 2016 he was a part of the community outreach team and now is the Social Media Director for the 2017 PVTO tournament. He hopes to someday work for a professional baseball organization.
Partnership Relations: Isabelle Oppenheim
Isabelle is a sophomore from Taunton, MA majoring in Sport Management with a desire to double major in Media Production/Communications. She has been a member of the PVTO philanthropy team and is looking to stay involved with the tournament in the coming years. She also considers herself an advocate for public service and youth empowerment. She is now in her third season working for the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation.
Social Media Chair: Sean Kelleher
Sean is a sophomore majoring in Sport Management. He is from Upton, Massachusetts and loves all things Boston sports. He was a player on his high school volleyball team for two years. His goal is to one day work in marketing or sales for a NBA, NFL, or MLB in New York City.
General E-Board Member: Bryan Safer
Bryan is a junior Sport Management major from Plainview, New York. He is an avid Mets fan and has even had the chance to play a baseball game at Citi Field in high school. Bryan has recently been voted Vice President of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity here at UMass. He has interned for the Florida Panthers in Data Analytics and Social Media, and volunteered as an events operation volunteer for Baseball ProCamps with Didi Gregorius.
