Advisor: Emily Must
Emily Must joined the faculty at UMass in the Fall of 2016. Prior to UMASS Emily worked toward her PhD in Sport Administration with a minor in Statistical Research Methods from the University of Northern Colorado while working as an Adjunct Professor of Sport Industry Operations at Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado. In the Fall of 2018 Emily assumed the role of Internship Coordinator and enjoys helping students find their role within the industry. She teaches in Marketing in the MBA and MSB&A programs and has also co-created an online personal finance and investing course aimed at getting the college student prepared for the future.
President: Samantha Bernstein
Samantha is a junior Sport Management and Marketing dual degree candidate from Fremont, California. She has worked in the recruiting department of the UMass Football team and now works as a Property Assistant for Learfield. Previously, she was the Community Service Chair(2017) and Marketing Chair(2018 on the McCormack E-Board.Samantha is also a big Golden State Warriors fan and hopes to someday work in the NBA or WNBA.
Vice President: Nicholas Kennedy
Nick is a sophomore Sport Management and Operations & Information Management major from Fairport, NY. This past winter, Nick interned with Amherst College and their basketball program, helping the Mammoths reach the Sweet 16. Previously he has worked on the Data Analytics & Basketball Operations team for the PVTO. Nick hopes to work for an NBA franchise in their front office one day.
Treasurer: Daniel DeBenedictis
Dan is a sophomore who is a double major in Sport Management and Finance. He is from Milton, MA and played basketball and baseball in high school and was captain of the baseball team. Previously, he was the Secretary on the 2018 McCormack E-Board. He loves the Boston Celtics and plans on working for their organization one day. This summer, Dan will intern with.
Secretary: Owen Lynch
Owen is sophomore who is a double major Sport Management and Operations and Information Management. He is from from Quincy, MA. He was a two sport varsity captain in high school for the baseball and hockey teams. I am a huge fan of all Boston Sports and would one day like to work for the Red Sox in their analytics departments.
Marketing Chair: Sean Kelleher
Sean is a sophomore pursuing a double major in Sport Management and Marketing. He is from Upton, Massachusetts and loves all things Boston sports. Previously, he was the Social Media Chair on the 2018 McCormack E-Board. This summer, he is working as a grassroots marketing coordinator for the New England Revolution and as a Student STAR Intern with DELL/EMC. His goal is to one day work in marketing or sales for a NBA, NFL, MLS, NHL, or MLB.
General E-Board Member: Ariel Kwitin-Close and Samuel Harwood
Ariel is a freshman sport management major from Sharon, MA with an interest in sport sponsorship. He has been involved with the PVTO as well as the leaders club here at UMass and hopes to someday work for a sport agency focusing on sponsorship management.
Samuel Harwood is a freshman in the Sports Management program with an intention to double major in Finance. He is interested in Operations and Sports Analytics. I will be working this summer at Bryant University in Rhode Island under the Director of Operations in a paid internship.
